Day 2 : Social Sweeping (100 Days of Singleness)

Today we are going to clean up the area we spend most of our free time scrolling… Social networks.

The object is to unfollow, delete, remove everything that subjects you to content that is deemed outright lewd, ungodly, sexually explicit or profane. It’s not about judging people by what they post but about guarding your heart from things that distract you from your purpose.

During this time of focusing on Christ and removing ungodly influences, the enemy will begin to come at you from every angle and you need to be prepared. We are women, strong, capable women that can and will live godly lives that please God.

What we allow into our hearts is a direct reflection of how much we value ourselves

Today’s Scripture
Meditate on it throughout your day:
Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put devious speech far from you. Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. (Proverbs 4:23-25 NASB)

Whatever we fill ourselves with is what we will produce. Let’s be sure that what we are taking in is in line with the women we want to be.

I had to delete a few people yesterday and unfollow some accounts that made it a point to post pictures that were just outright filthy. Also, I received messages from just about all my exes and just had to roll my eyes… Devil you ain’t slick! I know that you can do it and you will, let’s get to social sweeping! Oh and while you’re at it, quit stalking his page… If he’s a distraction then unfollow him too!

Live a little, love a lot and be a blessing!
