If you’d asked me a few months ago how I felt about being single… I would have given you some generic “Christian-approved” answer.
I can smile today!
I am so happy to share with you what God has done in my heart! He has transformed my heart and given me a joy that exudes from the depths of me where only brokenness once resided. My mourning has been traded for dancing, knowing that the lover of my soul is always with me; that I am one with Him and that all I am is all He wants me to be.
I will never stop improving and He will never stop improving me. This brings me more joy than you can imagine.
You can smile today with me!!!
Our period of singleness is when God prefects us! It’s when He is able to break us without our mess affecting another person’a destiny as drastically as it would if we were their spouse. People will always be affected by our shortcomings but God uses the time we are single to keep is set apart as much as possible so He can fully work in us. Today, I smiled. Not because of anyone or anything; I smiled knowing that in my present state I am content (Phillipians 4:11).
You aren’t just single, you’re set apart!
Don’t seek so earnestly to be attached before you are perfected. Let God complete His work in you rather than you looking for another incomplete person to complete you. Nobody is the missing piece to your puzzle, God is!
Will you smile with me? Will you revel I’m being single, saved and satisfied?
Here’s the challenge… Post a picture of your smile with the hashtag #SingleSavedSatisfied and a caption stating why you are. Tag me in it, I’d love to see your smile!
In the meantime, keep smiling!
