The kiss goodbye (Day 38 – 100 Days of Singleness)

It hurts. Sometimes it hurts more than you’ll ever want to admit to yourself let alone anyone else. God knows. God can deliver you from it.

The kiss goodbye… Endearing, an ever lingering reminder of love once felt, an experience that rarely does any good and is usually a futile attempt at holding onto the past.

It isn’t always a kiss is it? It’s that message you had no business sending. That call because you got lonely. That email because you just needed to know someone cared. It’s that moment you reached into your past to quench the pain of the present. It’s a mistake!

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭13-14‬ NASB)

Honey, let it go!!!

Nothing God has for you will escape your grasp. If you are following the will of God and you don’t have it, it’s not for you, let it go.

Just because someone desires you, doesn’t mean they value you.…. There’s a difference!

Blow that last kiss into the wind
Take a deep breath
Exhale
Walk away
Stop and smell the roses
Repeat x (as much as you need to)

You aren’t anybody’s other choice, don’t put your life on hold waiting for someone to appreciate you. The one God has for you will love you the way God intended, He’s waiting for you to seek Him fully so He can show you what true love looks like!

To the past, to the hurt, to the pain, to being disrespected, to being unappreciated, to being used, to being abused, to being loved any less than our Father in heaven intended – we have just one word….

Smooches!!!
