You’re praying for rain… Well where’s your umbrella? Most of us pray halfheartedly with no real belief that God will answer our prayers. We show it in our lack of preparation for the very thing we are “believing God for”. Prayer isn’t the luck of the draw we make it out to be. We have to pray with confidence that what we are requesting is on it’s way once it’s in line with God’s will. Also, we must ask God to align the desires of our heart with His divine will and not try to “fit” His will into our plans.

Believing for a spouse?
Cut off the randoms, allow your heart to be molded by Christ and prepared for the right person. How do you expect to get married to the love of your life when you’re never single long enough to court them? Be about your Father’s business!

Psalm 37:4 ESV
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Believing for finances?
Stop watching your bank account. Quit expecting God to do it in the way you feel it should be done; through a promotion, new job or etc.

Hebrews 13:5 ESV
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Believing for healing?
Believe! Activate your faith and speak your healing into existence. Speak with such peace and joy that those around you have to remind themselves that you’re facing sickness. Keep praying, He’s able!

James 5:15 ESV
And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Whatever you are believing God for, if He said it… It’s done. Expect that everything in that area of your life will fall apart, and He very well may allow it to show up and show off in your life. I promise you’ll probably get so much worse off in the area God promised to bless you in, because the enemy seeks to attack your faith but when you don’t waver… God gets the glory and blesses your socks off! If God spoke wealth into your life, watch how your bank account dwindles, every “possible” means of attaining the wealth He promised seems to vanish and you begin to wonder if it was God who spoke to you. You’re thinking too small! He’s not trying to bless you on that miserable little job He didn’t send you to in the first place, He may vey well be trying to make you uncomfortable enough to push you into pursuing your passion. Seek His face like your life depends on it, because it does and allow Him to reveal His plans for you!

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (‭Psalms‬ ‭84‬:‭11‬ NASB)

If He withholds it, it’s either because:
1. It’s not a good thing, or not YOUR good thing.
2. You’re not prepared yet.
3. You’re not walking upright.
