The stupid church…

“His watchmen are blind, They are all ignorant; They are all dumb dogs, They cannot bark; Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.”‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭56:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I listened to a teaching at a prayer congress today.

It made my heart repentant and sorrowful for my part in the laziness and complacent nature of today’s church.

Holy Spirit revealed to me just how we are blind, deaf and dumb. These shortcomings all stem from a lack of fervent and effectual prayer that makes access to God’s voice available to us.

We are deaf, so out of tune with what the voice of God is saying because the white noise of life has undoubtedly distracted us.

We are dumb and unable to declare the sound of heaven into the earth because we can only reproduce the nature of what we deposit. As in the natural, we can’t plant figs and expect pomegranates. So, in the spirit – whatever seed we plant; that also will we reap!

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”  ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:7-8‬ ‭NKJV‬

If being deaf and dumb were not enough, we are also blind! The enemy has managed to dismantle all of our essential channels….

Being blind – lack of vision.

We lack vision for a number of reasons; counterfeit ministries and doctrines have been formed and widely accepted because there has been no seeking, no desperate and urgent pursuing of God’s presence.

We preach on the enemy “creeping in” to our churches. This hasn’t been the case. Someone that creeps or sneaks in must first be at risk of being detected or fear some direct consequence of being discovered.

Satan isn’t creeping! He is roaming to and fro – openly and with great effort!

How long will we be a stupid church? How long until we seek God for real? How long until we quit despising an hour in prayer but welcoming 2 hour movies?

How long until we actually do the seeking in order to find?

How long until we actually knock on the door of breakthrough so it can be opened to us?

How long will we be as dogs that cannot even bark, therefore rendering ourselves ineffective gatekeepers? A dog that cannot bark – cannot alert those he’s protecting of impending danger or trespassers.

Let’s repent:

Dear Lord, God of our salvation and deliverance. We have failed you, turn our hearts to your desires rather than our agenda and humble our hearts into a posture of worship and prayer. May we pray earnestly with all urgency, and may we marry our requests with faith. For we know that without faith it is impossible to please you. In Jesus name, amen

As her heart speaks…

Words do no justice

For as her heart speaks

Her soul cries out strength

Though her flesh is weak

Though emotions overtake her

And life seems to get her down

Jesus never leaves her

He’s always to be found

His love is her heart’s song

His grace a melody loud

His love is for the weary

His wrath is for the proud

Before her heart could cling to Him

Her soul must first release

The melody of old sin and shame

When at first her heart did speak

A new song she has been given

Of redemption and true love

She sings of things she never knew

Before she had His love

Her face upon the altar, her hand stretched toward the throne

Her heart now sings of hope

Born from His grace alone.

I can’t take all the pressure…

I’m so afraid to fall. Sometimes I get petrified at the very thought of dropping the ball, of not being what I’m expected to be. After all, I’m responsible for those that look at me as a representation of Christ right? I think Pressure by Jonathan McReynolds hit the nail om the head for me – I’ve been listening all morning.

Lord I need you to relieve the pressure, not just from me but for every person that is earnestly seeking to please you. Help us not to allow the voice of others to dictate who we should be. Help us not to believe the lie that there is just one way to follow you. Help us to be who we are, help us to please you by being us and not a cookie-cutter replica of a good Christian.

I don’t know when it happened, I don’t know how but somehow I lost sight of the fact that it is you alone that I aim to please. Everyday I am constantly reminded of the expectations that I may not always live up to, of the way I should look or act to be accepted. Help me to remember that you have already approved me Lord. Remind us Lord that it is your power and not our own righteousness or works that sustains us and the work you have begun in us.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of power may be of God and not of us.                – 2 Corinthians 5:7

Let us pray:

Holy and omnipotent God, lover of our soul. Bring us back to you, reconcile our motives and hearts back to you, back to the place where you are our influence and our standard. God relieve the pressure and stress of living up to expectations that did not come from you. Help us to differentiate between your standard and their opinion. God you matter, you alone matter. Give us your heart. Glory be to your name Lord, we receive your peace in this moment and declare it for the entire body of Christ!

In Jesus’ majestic and powerful name, amen.

Break every chain!!!!!

When I lost my grandmother, just about our entire immediate family was at her home and Break every chain was playing on repeat. I couldn’t stand to hear the song for the following few months, it would bring unbearable grief.

Here it was, a song that was meant to bring freedom and deliverance did the exact opposite for me because of what it was associated with.

When we hear a song, go somewhere or even meet a new person we can only view them through the jaded scope of our past experiences. I’m greatly aware now of the need to constantly  cleanse our minds of negative associations and viewpoints stemming mind from unresolved issues. We must resolve our issues!

We have to learn to face the truth of how we feel and to overcome it by the power God has given us to speak His word and speak change into reality. Don’t let a negative memory rob you of a positive or even God-ordained experience!

Let’s pray:

God, gracious and everlasting Father! I ask that today you enter into my heart and cause all bitterness and malice to be uprooted. Every sign of unforgiveness or brokenness I turn over to you right now. Transform my heart and give me a heart like yours. Help me to see the world through your eyes. I’m no longer broken, no longer hurting but I am whole and healed in Jesus’ mighty name!

Desperate for you….

I began with the intention of letting you all know how frustrated I was that God just was not speaking to me. But as I prayed before I started typing – He did.

“Lord I can’t hear you and I hate this feeling because it makes me feel as if I’m… desperate for you?”

All the Holy Spirit had to say was “good”and immediately I got it.

Sometimes we take the presence and voice of God for granted and He withdraws to rekindle our fire and to bring us to a place of desperation and longing.

I had to shut up – To hear Him

I had to seek Him – To Find Him

I had to get desperate – To understand that His desire for me is far greater than mine for Him.

Check out this song I just want to hear you by Deon Kipping, I swear the man is singing my life right now!!!

Sometimes I don’t trust God though I want to. Sometimes I cannot see how in the world where I am can lead to where He told me I would be. Sometimes I have to repent for my unbelief. I get confused, scared and frustrated. I don’t know what to do or how to do it, I love those moments. They remind me just how little I have to do with what God is doing in and through me. Those moments force me to face my humanity and His deity.

All I have encountered, remind me just how much I can conquer through my creator.

A heart like yours! (Day 72 – 100 Days of Singleness)

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. (‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭5‬ NASB)

Being born again, means a rebirthing from our old sinful nature into a glorious and majestic being of love. We cannot serve Christ until we learn to love like Him.

Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭5, 9-10‬ NASB)

God will not withhold anything we request, if we seek God for a clean heart we will undoubtedly receive it. We need the heart of Christ, a heart that never wavers in it’s pursuit to love.

Sometimes I talk to God because I need to, I just need Him. Sometimes we won’t get the words right, we won’t know what to say – just talk. God doesn’t care how eloquent you are. He just wants to hear from you!

Tonight we pray, for a heart like God’s. One like Christ, one that is pure and full of love.

Dear God,
Gracious and everlasting Holy and one true God, I cry out to you. From the depths of my heart I ask for a heart like yours. Give me a heart that is willing to sacrifice like Abraham did. Give me a heart that is obedient and trusts you above all else like Moses did. May I take on a heart like Job, that believes in you through the testing and though all my possessions and my own family and body are in conflict against me. Give me a heart of repentance and praise. Give me a heart like yours and a hunger and thirst for your presence. You are the God who always was and always will be, the God that created me in His image of love and I ask now that you perfect your love in me. In Jesus name, amen.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4-7‬ NASB)

May we live like you, love like you, forever.

Signed,
Your loving daughter

No more locked doors!!! – Pursuing Purity (Day 26 – 100 Days of Singleness)

I know he/ she is no good for me but…

Stop right there! Anything that follows this phrase is a sorry excuse of a reason to stay and you know it.

I know as the song says, “he ain’t no good but it feels so good”. I know and have experienced the pleasure of sin, so for all of us that have; let’s take a look at this:
Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 NASB)

This is the first we have addressed sexual immorality, only because establishing relationship with God was paramount and of utmost importance. A part of committing to God is relinquishing our former ways that are displeasing to our savior.

We are connected to those we allow into our bodies, it’s more than a physical exchange of pleasure … It’s a spiritual fusing of spirits that was designated for marriage. We have to commit to purity, to living up to the standard of Christ. It doesn’t matter if you’ve had 1 or 1,000 partners! All that matters is repentance and seeking God’s deliverance from the sin itself and from those our souls are tied to! Sexual sins go against God and our own bodies and no matter how the media may portray it as some frivolous act, it’s not! It’s not to be taken lightly and we aren’t to be taking part in it outside of marriage.

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

Do you not know???

We cannot give our spirit to God and our bodies to the world. It won’t work.

We declare release from immorality! We come against the lust of this flesh and heed to the spirit of God and we WILL answer God’s call to holiness and be sustained by His Holy Spirit. We declare freedom! We declare holiness! In the name of Jesus!!!

God be with you always my loves and until next time;

Live a little, love a lot & be a blessing

Day 1: Clean Texting Challenge, keep it friendly! (100 days of Singleness)

Okay cut off the love songs, put the ice cream back in the freezer and DO NOT text him! He’s not the one and you know it, he wasn’t even a good one to begin with. Don’t let your loneliness commit you to another moment in a wrong relationship!

For the next 7 days we will aim to rid ourselves of every romantic attachment that God has convicted us about, no you aren’t the one that can help him get saved and no going to church every Sunday does not mean he is close. We are going to get so wrapped up in Christ and in our purpose as believers that God Himself will begin to do the process of elimination for us without all the wasted time and effort.

It’s not okay to keep someone around just to stroke your ego and there is no room for God to work in your heart and mind if it is cluttered with yesterday’s boyfriends and Mr. Maybe.

If you are taking to 100 days of Singleness challenge here are the guidelines:

No kissing

No Sexual Contact of any nature

No cuddling with the opposite sex

No massages/ back rubs

No movie nights at home alone (this puts  all previously mentioned rules are in jeopardy of being broken)

The reason I spelled it out is because some of us tend to put ourselves in compromising positions with the mindset that we are strong enough to withstand the temptation but it’s an unnecessary hindrance to us. We are seeking the face of God and using the next 100 days to fully come to a place where we are not only content as singles but we are completely healed of all past hurt. Only through the spirit of God can we do this.

Today’s challenge:

Clean texting – baby, babe, honey, sweety, sugar, love, bae, hun are all off limits – anything pertaining to being romantically involved with anyone God has not given His okay on!

Aim:

To establish clear boundaries of friendship, are you down for the challenge?

I have a terrible habit of being a bit more flirtatious than I ought to, so I am more than happy to take this challenge today with you ladies that agree to stand with me and be set apart. I am told I flirt without even knowing it so maybe, just maybe clean texting can help that a bit. I have to begin to release some people that I know will only hinder my progress spiritually, and yes it does get hard but God would not lead me to do something I cannot handle and as long as He is our strength, we can and will complete our 100 days of singleness being stronger, better and wiser than we are beginning it. I love you all, I’ll be keeping you all in prayer!

Be sure to like, comment and share so we can get as many of our sisters involved as we can… any brothers that wanna join are welcomed!

Live a little, love a lot, be a blessing!
